VERSACE CERAMICS

Where haute couture meets porcelain, translating Versace’s iconic design codes into ceramic
Versace Ceramics was established in 1997 through the collaboration between the fashion house and Italian ceramic manufacturer Gardenia Orchidea. Since then, the project has brought some of Versace’s most recognisable symbols, including Medusa, La Greca, Barocco and prints from the textile archive, into porcelain surfaces, decorative elements and coordinated bathroom interiors.
Decoration lies at the heart of the range. Versace prints are transferred onto ceramic through vivid colour, three-dimensional effects and glazes enriched with precious-metal accents. Marble, stone, wood and solid-colour surfaces provide the architectural foundation, while a particularly extensive vocabulary of decorative pieces gives each collection its unmistakable character.
Borders, corners, listelli, mosaics, coordinated trims and Medusa inserts make it possible to introduce the Versace identity at different levels of intensity. A motif can appear as a single detail, frame an architectural element or extend across an entire surface. Gold accents and precisely matched finishing pieces allow even elaborate compositions to retain a coherent and carefully resolved appearance.
Eterno demonstrates the technical precision behind this decorative language. Its three-dimensional Medusa is obtained through an exclusive patented engraving process and can be combined with Greca profiles, chevron mosaics and dedicated special pieces. The result has the depth and definition of a relief rather than the appearance of a motif applied only to the surface.
The connection with fashion becomes even more explicit in Icons and Manifesto. Icons interprets textile-inspired patterns through vibrant colour, relief and precious-metal accents, bringing motifs such as Medusa, La Greca, Barocco Garden and Trésor de la Mer onto ceramic. Manifesto works at a larger architectural scale: high-resolution decoration and precious-metal glazes reproduce signature Versace prints on slabs measuring 120 × 280 cm, creating the effect of ceramic wallpaper across expansive walls.
Versace Ceramics extends this language beyond floors and walls. Bath Furniture includes made-to-measure washbasins, vanity tops and multifunctional shelves produced from slabs within the ceramic range, allowing material and pattern to continue into the principal elements of the bathroom. Taps & Co. completes the composition with tapware, fittings and accessories in coordinated finishes, developed for both classically decorative and more linear interiors.
The brand is particularly suited to residential, hospitality and retail projects that call for a strong visual identity rather than quiet neutrality. Its distinction is immediate and specific: fashion-derived prints, sculpted Medusa emblems, La Greca geometry, precious-metal details and an exceptional range of special pieces through which surfaces can be composed almost as carefully as a couture garment.
