SOLVER SYSTEMS

The engineering beneath a precisely built terrace
A terrace may be defined visually by porcelain, timber or composite decking, but its long-term performance is decided underneath. Solver Systems develops the adjustable structures that establish the correct height, compensate for slopes, support the finished surface and allow water to drain freely without compromising the waterproofing below.
The Polish manufacturer controls product development and production at its facilities in Gdańsk. Its current portfolio brings together more than 100 components and several families of adjustable supports, including solutions for professional construction, complex commercial projects and more accessible residential installations. In 2026, the products previously known under the DD Group and DD Pedestals names were brought together under the Solver identity, creating one coherent system for raised terraces.
Unlike a conventionally bonded terrace, a raised system does not depend on mortar or adhesive. Porcelain pavers can rest directly on adjustable supports, while natural wood and WPC decking can be installed over aluminium joists. Height and inclination are corrected mechanically, allowing the finished surface to remain level even when the structural substrate retains the slope required for drainage.
Solver develops solutions for very different construction heights, from low-profile supports used where build-up is restricted to reinforced systems for substantial elevations and demanding loads. Self-levelling heads and slope correctors can compensate for significant substrate inclinations, while millimetre adjustments allow installers to align the finished surface with thresholds, façades and adjacent floor levels.
For larger terraces, aluminium joists connect the individual supports into a stable structural grid. The system distributes loads more evenly, improves alignment and can accommodate porcelain, timber or composite boards within the same project. Perimeter clips, spacers, protective pads and finishing components resolve edges and junctions without relying on improvised site details.
Fire performance is addressed through adjustable pedestals manufactured entirely from metal. These non-combustible solutions achieve the highest A1 fire-reaction classification and are intended for buildings where plastic supporting components may not satisfy project requirements. They combine height adjustment with slope compensation while preserving the dry, accessible construction of a raised floor.
Once installed, the open space beneath the surface becomes a functional technical zone. Rainwater drains across the waterproof layer, services can pass out of sight, and individual pavers or boards can be lifted for inspection or replacement. Repairs no longer require the entire terrace to be broken apart, while the absence of permanent bonding allows the surface to respond more naturally to temperature changes and movement within the building.
This combination has taken Solver systems beyond private balconies and gardens. Its adjustable structures have been used for apartment developments, business-centre rooftops, heavy concrete paving, fountains and international projects including the water installation at the UAE Pavilion during Expo 2020 Dubai.
Solver Systems treats the terrace as an engineered, reversible construction rather than a decorative surface fixed permanently to the building. What remains invisible after installation is precisely what protects the waterproofing, manages drainage and keeps the finished floor stable, accessible and accurately aligned over time.
