CE.SI. CERAMICA DI SIRONE

Solid colour mastered through more than 60 years of Italian ceramic expertise
CE.SI. has worked with coloured porcelain stoneware for more than six decades, building its identity around something apparently simple but technically demanding: the solid-colour tile. With roots in the Fumagalli family’s experience in flooring materials dating back to 1872, the company has developed a focused approach in which colour, modularity and manufacturing precision are treated as parts of the same system.
Colour is the foundation of the catalogue rather than an accent added to individual collections. The current glazed porcelain range includes 38 matt and 16 glossy colours, moving from architectural neutrals to saturated yellows, reds, greens and blues. Alongside it, full-body porcelain carries the colour through the thickness of the tile, providing greater technical resistance for demanding floor and wall applications.
The 10 × 10 cm tile remains one of the clearest expressions of the CE.SI. language. Its deliberately simple proportions make colour, repetition and grout part of the composition. Around this central module, the range expands through square and rectangular sizes, slim brick formats, mesh-mounted mosaics and dimensions extending to 10 × 60 and 20 × 60 cm. Designers can work within one chromatic system while changing scale, orientation and rhythm across the surface.
The catalogue becomes more distinctive through its geometric and three-dimensional pieces. Octagons, hexagons, bevelled Diamantato tiles, relief-based Reverso elements and Butterfly mosaics allow solid colour to generate intricate surfaces without relying on printed decoration. Borders, checkerboards, woven layouts and customised geometric fields are created through the relationship between the pieces themselves.
This freedom is supported by precise manufacturing. Constant calibre, flatness and orthogonality allow different formats, colours and finishes to be combined within the same installation. The modularity is therefore structural rather than merely visual, giving architects the control required to develop complex patterns and transitions without compromising the alignment of the finished surface.
CE.SI. also offers a level of personalisation that extends beyond selecting a colour from the catalogue. Mosaics can be developed through individual colour mixtures, while different formats and laying patterns can be configured to suit a particular project. Through its Transfer process, logos, graphics, patterns and photographic images can be applied to the ceramic surface without giving up the resistance expected from the material.
Colour development is supported by an archive built through decades of research and by the use of the Natural Colour System. This gives designers a more precise method of selecting and communicating colour, particularly useful when ceramic surfaces must coordinate with paint, furniture or other architectural materials.
CE.SI. is particularly relevant to bathrooms, hospitality, retail, public interiors and projects in which ceramic is used graphically to define zones, introduce rhythm or create a bespoke visual identity. Rather than depending on the imitation of marble, stone or wood, the company treats colour and geometry as architectural materials in their own right.
After more than 60 years, this concentration remains unusual. CE.SI. has transformed the coloured tile into a complete design system, supported by carefully controlled dimensions, an extensive chromatic archive and the freedom to compose surfaces at very different scales.
